Our Story
Brief history: The emergence of human mutants became undeniable in late 2024. Reports of unnatural behavior among former personnel were initially dismissed as psychosis. The "Scorched" and "Ferals" were observed in the borderlands, with a deeper, more sinister intelligence from entities like the "Controllers" directing their actions.
Types of Mutants
Ferals: These are individuals who have succumbed to primal, predatory instincts. They move in uncoordinated, fast-moving packs, driven by hunger. They are a raw, visceral threat of the Zone, embodying its ability to strip away humanity. Their appearance is rag-tag and devolved, reflecting their animalistic transformation.
The Scorched: These are armed figures with blank eyes, mumbling unknown phrases. They move with an unsettling, aggressive purpose and are believed to be victims of cognitive overload or SFA experiments. They act as if directed by an unseen force, blurring the line between human and anomaly. They are clad in torn PMC gear or uniforms, familiar yet disturbingly vacant.
Monstrosities: These are the Zone's true apex predators, including elusive and terrifying Controllers capable of influencing the minds of others. These entities serve as significant threats, extremely dangerous encounters, and narrative catalysts that reinforce the inherent danger and alien nature of the Zone. Their appearance is grotesque, unnerving, and requires crew approval.
