101: UNDERSTANDING THE MECHANICS
This event is a hybrid LARP and MILSIM experience set in proximity to the unforgiving Zone. To facilitate a balanced, deep, and fun game for all participants there are game mechanics. Mechanics are an essential component to fully participate in the event and will greatly enhance your experience. They are not rules per se, but they do explain how things work around here.
The mechanics are separated into three distinct sections. It is recommended that every player reads the GENERAL section in full. You must then pay attention to the section governing your chosen faction type (LARP or MILSIM). It is advised to read all mechanics as this will make the experience deeper for you as you know how to operate in the environment.
GENERAL (Applies to everyone)
These rules are the foundation of the event no matter your preferred playstyle. All players, regardless of faction, will be in contact with the general mechanics at one point or another. This includes universal mechanics, such as the Base's "no-shooting policy", the risks of using the smuggler's route when entering or exiting the base, map exploration, lore discoveries, data triangulation as well as how to earn income through missions and bounty hunting.
LARP (For LARPing)
This section details mechanics specific to roleplaying, negotiation, and narrative progression as well as some mission mechanics.
MILSIM (MILSIM Factions ONLY)
This section details mechanics specific to MILSIM factions and only applies to:
Cerberus operations
Grey dynamics
Black rift security
Outer perimeter control
Section zero
